Shipping policy

We aim to deliver your Plankly furniture purchases swiftly, safely, and conveniently. Our shipping policy outlines where we ship, how long it takes, and how we handle the delivery process. Here’s everything you need to know about receiving your Plankly order:

Shipping Coverage – Within India and Beyond

Domestic Shipping

Plankly currently offers free shipping across India on all orders. Whether you’re in a major city or a smaller town, we will ship your furniture to your doorstep without any additional delivery charge. We have partnered with reliable logistics providers to ensure your order reaches you securely.

International Shipping

Our primary focus is on serving customers within India. However, if you are outside India and interested in our products, we may be able to assist on a case-by-case basis. We do not list international shipping at checkout by default. For any export or international inquiries, please contact us at help@plankly.co prior to purchase – we’ll gladly discuss possible arrangements or connect you with information about international delivery options.

Note: Any international shipment, if arranged, will be subject to applicable shipping fees, duties, and customs as advised during our communication.

Handling Time (Order Dispatch)

Each Plankly piece is crafted with care, and while we keep inventory in stock, we also conduct a final quality check before sending your order. We typically take 6-8 business days to dispatch (ship out) your order. This handling time allows us to prepare secure packaging, complete quality inspections, and coordinate with our courier partners. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email with tracking details.

Note: Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing on the next business day. If there is any unexpected delay in dispatching your order (e.g., an item temporarily out of stock at our nearest warehouse), our team will inform you via email.

Delivery Timeline (Transit Time)

After dispatch, delivery times will vary depending on your location. On average, deliveries occur within 3–7 business days after dispatch for most parts of India. Here are approximate transit times:

  • Major metros and Tier-1 cities: Usually 3–5 business days after dispatch.
  • Other cities and towns: Approximately 5–7 business days after dispatch.
  • Remote or difficult-to-access areas: Up to 7–10 business days after dispatch.

These estimates are typical timeframes. We strive to get your furniture to you as quickly as possible, but actual delivery dates can be influenced by factors such as distance, courier network coverage, inter-state travel time, and local logistics.

During high-volume periods (like festivals or big sale events) or due to unforeseen events (weather issues, transportation strikes, etc.), deliveries might take a bit longer. We appreciate your patience during such rare circumstances and will keep you updated if we become aware of any extended delays.

Shipment Tracking and Updates

Once your order is on its way, we will send an email notification with tracking information. This tracking number or link lets you monitor the progress of your shipment on the courier’s website. You can see when the package is out for delivery and get an estimated delivery date. We recommend checking the tracking updates, especially once it’s in your city, to ensure you’re available to receive it.

Our delivery partners will typically attempt delivery at the address you provided. If you anticipate any issues with delivery (for example, you might be away on the expected day), you can often reschedule or coordinate directly with the courier by contacting them using the details in the tracking info, or you can email us for assistance.

Important: Please double-check that your shipping address and contact details are correct when placing the order. An accurate address with landmarks (if applicable) and a reachable phone number (for the courier’s use) helps ensure a smooth delivery. We cannot be responsible for delays or missed deliveries due to incomplete or incorrect addresses.

Delivery Conditions and Assembly

Our standard delivery is to your doorstep (ground floor/main entrance for houses, or building lobby for apartments). Since our products are often large furniture items, the delivery personnel may not be able to carry them to upper floors or into specific rooms, especially if special handling or assembly is required. Please plan to have an extra set of hands available on delivery day if the item is heavy or if you need it moved upstairs.

Plankly furniture is designed for easy assembly, and we include all necessary hardware and instructions in the package. Assembly services are generally not included in standard delivery. If an item requires assembly, you (or a handyman of your choice) can follow the instruction manual provided. Many of our pieces use simple joinery and come together with basic tools. If you face any difficulties during assembly, feel free to reach out to us via email for guidance – we can often assist by providing tips or additional instructions.

Damaged or Lost Shipments

We put a lot of effort into secure packaging. Each item is wrapped and cushioned to minimize the risk of transit damage. However, in rare cases, if you receive a package that appears damaged on the outside, or if any parts of the product are damaged upon unboxing, please notify us within 72 hours (as covered in our Return Policy). We will arrange for a resolution, whether that’s sending replacement parts or exchanging the product. Please save all packaging materials and take photos of any damage – this helps us and our courier partners address the issue quickly.

If a shipped order is excessively delayed or if tracking has not updated for several days, feel free to contact us. Although delays are uncommon, we will work with the courier to locate your shipment. In the unlikely event a package is deemed lost in transit, we will ship you a new product as soon as possible (or provide a full refund if replacement is not available).

You might notice that we don’t list a customer support phone number. That’s because we’ve chosen to handle all customer communication via email (help@plankly.co). We made this decision to provide you with the fastest and most effective support. Here’s why email support helps us help you better:

  • No waiting on hold: You can send us a message at your convenience, and our team will get back to you promptly (typically within one business day).
  • Detailed assistance: You can easily share pictures of a concern and we can provide clear instructions or videos/links in return.
  • Accountability and tracking: Email creates a record of our communication so both you and our team can track the issue and refer back to previous messages.
  • Team collaboration: Our staff can consult internally and respond with a complete solution – all without keeping you on hold.
