Plankly 5-Year Limited Warranty
5-Year Limited Warranty
At Plankly, we stand behind the quality of our hardwood furniture. Our 5-Year Limited Warranty assures you that we will take care of any manufacturing defects, giving you peace of mind. Please read the following terms to understand the coverage and limitations of your warranty.
Who Is Covered
This warranty is extended to the original purchaser of the Plankly product. It applies only to products purchased directly from Plankly (either through our official website or authorized outlets). Please keep your order invoice or receipt as proof of purchase – it will be required for any warranty claim. This warranty is non-transferable, meaning it applies only to the first owner and not to any subsequent owners of the furniture.
Warranty Period
The coverage under this warranty is valid for 5 years from the date of delivery. During this period, Plankly will repair or replace (at our discretion) any part of the product that is confirmed to have a manufacturing defect or failure under normal use. If an identical replacement is not available (for example, if a model is out of production), we will provide a product of similar specifications and value as a substitute.
What the Warranty Covers
Our 5-year limited warranty covers defects arising from normal use, specifically issues in materials or workmanship. In practical terms, this means:
- Structural or manufacturing defects that impair the functionality of the furniture, such as premature cracking of wood beyond natural variations, joint failures, or breakage of components under normal indoor use.
- Any defects in assembly fittings or hardware supplied by Plankly that cause the product to be unsafe or unusable.
The product must be used and maintained as intended – only for indoor residential or standard office/commercial purposes. It should also be assembled correctly following the instructions provided. Using the furniture in a manner it wasn’t designed for (e.g., using indoor furniture outdoors) may void the warranty.
Natural Wood Variations
Please note that natural variations in wood are not considered defects. Wood is a natural material, so differences in grain pattern, minor color variations, knots, or texture are normal and part of the unique beauty of solid wood furniture. These natural characteristics – as well as slight shifts or seasoning of wood over time – do not affect the performance of the product and are not covered by this warranty.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
Our goal is to ensure your Plankly furniture lasts for years. However, certain situations are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Normal wear and tear: Fading, minor scratches, scuffs, or expected aging of materials from regular use. This includes slight loosening of screws or joins over time, which may require basic tightening or maintenance.
- Natural materials aging: Natural wood grain or color changes, minor expansion or contraction of wood due to climate, and other natural wood behavior over time.
- Misuse or improper use: Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or using the product outside its intended purpose (e.g., commercial or hospitality use, outdoor placement, overloading, standing on furniture).
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs: Any alterations or repairs by a third party or customer without Plankly’s authorization, including refinishing or use of non-recommended cleaners.
- Accidents and external events: Damage from fire, flood, natural disasters, or civil disturbances.
- Transit or delivery damage: Damage noted at the time of delivery or unboxing. These issues are handled under our Return Policy and must be reported within 72 hours.
- Cosmetic imperfections not affecting function: Small surface cracks, minor dents, slight wobbling on uneven floors, or finish inconsistencies.
- Change of mind or personal preferences: Disliking the product after purchase, wanting a different color/finish, or sizing issues are not covered.
